To encourage all members to use their individual talents for the cause of Christ
To strive for 100% attendance to Sunday evening and Wednesday services
To thrive for youth programs that provides a sound spiritual and social foundation
To establish a fully planned curriculum that advances and promotes bible students
To target total growth of 400 faithful members
To continue our encouragement of the entire congregation
To participate in a least one of the ministries at Bellfort To conduct leadership training and development for service in the church

One of the ways that colleges, universities, hospitals,
museums, and other public institutions encourage wealthy
individuals to make substantial financial gifts is to offer
to name a building (or some part of the institution) after
the donor. Not all donors give in order to be remembered for
posterity; indeed, some choose to give anonymously. Each
person must weigh his own reasons for giving.

Jesus had sharp words for wealthy Pharisees in Jerusalem
who gave alms to the needy in order to reap praise for
themselves. Matthew 6:2 ("do not sound a trumpet")
refers to an unknown practice by which they called attention
to themselves--possibly the trumpets that preceded
almsgiving at times of fasting and prayer. Regardless, Jesus
said this: There are two kinds of rewards for good
works--the rewards of the praise of men and the rewards of
the praise of God. And we are free to choose our reward.

If you act so as to receive the praise of men, you've
already received your reward. But if you act in secret, you
will receive God's reward in due course.

The manner of giving shows the character of the giver,
more than the gift itself.

Our Plea

To restore and maintain the original church which Christ established.

The church was planned by God before the foundation of the world. (Romans 8:29; 1 Peter 1:18-20)

It was established in accordance with his divine will and through it, God's wisdom is made known. (Ephesians 3:10-12)

The blood of Christ and the church of Christ are inseparably bound together.

(Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:4-6; 5:23-27; Colossians 1:18-20)

All things that make up man's salvation are in Christ and his church.

Following baptism, we are to study and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:15; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 1:18-20)

Then, we are to regularly attend the services, as commanded in the scripture. (Hebrews 10:25)

Finally, after having lived faithful until death, we will receive our reward, a mansion in God's heavenly kingdom. (2 Timothy 4:8; Revelation 2:10; 14:13)

To encourage spiritual and personal growth for single adults (i.e., never married, divorced, separated, and widowed) and their family.

Objective(s):

To develop and promote spiritual growth through study and edification. To involve single adults in Bellfort’s ministerial work, community outreach and edification of fellow Christians. To interact with other churches of Christ single adult ministries.

Goals (2008):

We will have monthly fellowships (2nd Sunday) We will attend National Christian Singles Seminar (NCSS) in Indiana. We will host a Single Adults Workshop We will encourage members to become involved in the Single Adult Ministry.

Marriage Enrichment

Purpose:

The mission of the Marriage Enrichment Ministry begins with proper recognition of ones relationship with God. This ministry encourages married couples and to come together to discuss ways of enhancing relationships as husband and wife. Thus, embracing persons who are engaged and/or considering marriage and to establish a firm spiritual foundation to build their relationship on which to build.

Objective(s):

We will meet at least once a month (3rd Saturday @ 6:30 p.m.) at a designated time and location to fellowship and study the Word of God. We will continue to learn and understand each others emotional needs, not having unrealistic expectations of one another.
